IMPA and SBM release document on Mathematics in Brazil.

Amidst the activities of the 2017-2018 Mathematics Biennium and eight months before the International Congress of Mathematicians (ICM 2018), IMPA (Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics) and SBM (Brazilian Mathematical Society) are launching the document "Brazilian Mathematics 2018".

The text aims to provide an overview of Brazilian mathematics and its evolution over the last few decades, showing the progress achieved in research, postgraduate studies, and international cooperation.
