ICM in Brazil is a sign of trust in the country, says Viana.

In an interview with Revista Pesquisa Fapesp, the Director-General of IMPA, Marcelo Viana, discusses Brazil's entry into the elite international group of mathematics research, the problems in teaching the subject in the country's schools, and the organization of the 28th International Congress of Mathematicians (ICM 2018), the largest and most important meeting in the field, which will take place in August in Rio de Janeiro.
