Carolina Araujo gives a lecture in the field of algebraic geometry.

IMPA senior researcher Carolina Araújo spoke this Friday afternoon (3), in a lecture at ICM 2018, about the work she develops in the area of holomorphic foliations.

The theory of holomorphic foliations originates from the study of differential equations in the complex plane, and has become a powerful tool in algebraic geometry.

Carolina Araújo holds a PhD in Mathematics from Princeton University and subsequently completed postdoctoral studies at the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute – MSRI, in Berkeley (USA).
