Brazil's team for the Ibero-American Championship has been selected.

Brazil has already been selected to compete in the 33rd Ibero-American Mathematical Olympiad (OIM), which will take place between September 21st and 29th. For the first time in history, the competition will be held jointly in two countries: Spain and Portugal.

The standout member of the Brazilian team is Pedro Lucas Lanaro Sponchiado, from São Paulo (SP), who won the gold medal at the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) held in July. His teammates will also be bronze medalists at the IMO: Bernardo Peruzzo Trevizan, from São Paulo (SP), Bruno Brasil Meinhart and Pedro Gomes Cabral, both from Fortaleza (CE). The team will be led by professors Eduardo Wagner and Carlos Gustavo Tamm de Araujo Moreira, known as Gugu, both from Rio de Janeiro (RJ).
