Brazil wins four medals at the Ibero-American Mathematics Championships.

With two gold and two silver medals, Brazil came in second place at the Ibero-American Mathematical Olympiad. Held between September 24 and 28 in the cities of La Rábida (Spain) and Monte Gordo (Portugal), the competition had the participation of 79 students from 22 countries.
Brazilians Bruno Brasil Meinhart (CE) and Pedro Gomes Cabral (PE) won the gold, while Bernardo Peruzzo Trevizan (SP) and Pedro Lucas Lanaro Sponchiado (SP) took the silver.

The team led by professors Eduardo Wagner and Carlos Gustavo Tamm de Araújo Moreira, known as Gugu, repeated their strong performance from the previous edition of the Olympiad, securing second place in the overall competition ranking. Argentina, with three gold medals, came in first, and Spain in third. In the tournament's history, Brazil now has a total of 124 medals.
The Puerto Rico Cup – awarded to the team that shows the most progress over the last three editions – went to Uruguay. The 34th edition of the Olympics already has a host country: Mexico.
