Despite not being a "fan" of the virtual format, which reduces contact between participants and imposes a new testing environment, Andrey was pleased with the results. "I expected to have fun with the test, as always, but I didn't expect to do so well. It was a pleasant surprise! Brazil did very well, in terms of quantity and quality," celebrates the competitor, who is currently studying mathematics at Unicamp.

Launched in 2009, the CIIM seeks to encourage the study of mathematics and academic excellence in the Ibero-American university community. Contributing to the social, cultural, and economic development of participating countries is also one of the Olympiad's objectives.
