Award winners from the 17th OBMEP can now register for the PIC.
The Junior Scientific Initiation Program (PIC) invites the winners of the 17th Brazilian Mathematics Olympiad for Public Schools (OBMEP), held by IMPA in 2022, to participate in this year's edition of the program. The deadline for registration confirmation is March 10th.
Gold, silver, and bronze medalists receive a letter or email inviting them to the current edition and must confirm their registration by the deadline. If a medalist has not received the letter or email, they should contact pic@obmep.org.br .

'OBMEP was the Olympiad that opened doors for me,' says medalist.
Those awarded honorable mentions can also apply until March 10th and will go through a selection process to fill any remaining vacancies, should medalists withdraw.
Students from public schools who participate in the program have access to a scholarship of R$ 100 per month, offered by the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq).
The program's activities include in-person or virtual meetings, depending on the student's location, virtual discussions on the OBMEP forum, assessments on the PIC Portal, and other activities on the Mathematics Portal.
The PIC aims to encourage the study of mathematics, as well as give participants the opportunity to learn about the subject from a different perspective.
