In 2020, 50 scholarships will be offered in the fields of astronomy, biology, computer science, economics, engineering, statistics, physics, mathematics, medicine, and chemistry. The scholarship of R$ 1,200 is granted for 12 months, renewable annually, up to a limit of 48 months – generally, the time needed to complete an undergraduate course. The regulations are available [here/at this link].
For the renewal of the scholarship, the scholarship recipients will have their performance evaluated. The selection and evaluation of candidates will be carried out by an academic committee appointed by the IMPA administration and the Academic Extension Programs Coordination.
The criteria considered in the evaluation will be: academic merit, through the ENEM result, performance in OBMEP editions and school record; socioeconomic situation; and relevance of financial support for the candidate's academic and professional trajectory.
The results of the selection process will be released on March 18th on the OBMEP website and the Bolsa Instituto TIM-OBMEP portal . Selected candidates must submit the required documentation between March 19th and 23rd.
