The Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics (IMPA) strengthens the alliance between its technical-scientific team and the national industry through the Projects and Innovation Center. This center is dedicated to solving specific problems and developing projects that take advantage of the mathematical sciences. Its priorities are to transfer knowledge to the productive sector, support public authorities and train high-level professionals.
Visgraf
The VISGRAF Laboratory was created in 1989 with the aim of working in areas of Computational Applied Mathematics for Media. In this sense, it has played a pioneering role and has contributed significantly to broadening the institute’s insertion in the applications of mathematics. In addition, its work has influenced the dissemination of new perspectives in the country’s scientific community, as well as the consolidation of associated disciplines in the academic sphere.
FLUID
Created in 1987 and dedicated to research in Fluid Dynamics, FLUID carries out joint projects with various national and international institutions. Scientific activities are extended to education through the implementation of doctoral and master’s degree programs in the areas of Fluid Dynamics and Numerical Analysis.
