Sino-Brazilian School of Probability
With the goal of further strengthening academic ties between Brazil and China in the area of probability, IMPA will host, in July 2026, the First Sino-Brazilian School of Probability. The event will feature three minicourses taught by young Chinese probabilists, in addition to lectures given by Brazilian researchers.
The school will take place in the week preceding the traditional Brazilian School of Probability, which will be held in the first week of August at CBPF, also in Rio de Janeiro. This scheduling is intended to facilitate the participation of Brazilian students and researchers in both events.
