SAET Conference on Current Trends in Economics

The 25th Annual SAET Conference will be held July 13-18 , 2026, with a special celebration on July 18, for the 80th birthday of Aloisio Araujo. The conference will take place at the Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics, IMPA, Rio de Janeiro, RJ, Brazil.

The early registration deadline has been extended to June 15, 2026.
The conference fee categories are based on the participant’s country of residence. Please note that the reductions apply only to the conference fee, including the Students/Postdocs category, and do not apply to the SAET membership fee.
To register, participants must pay both the conference fee, through IMPA’s payment system at the end of this registration form, and the SAET membership fee, through SAET’s webpage.
In case of any doubt regarding the applicable category, please contact us before completing your registration.
Participants whose country of residence falls under one of the reduced-fee categories and who have already paid the previous fee are kindly asked to contact us.

Full fee applies to participants residing in Europe, the United States, Canada, Australia, South Korea, Japan, and Singapore.
60% fee applies to participants residing in China and Latin America, except Haiti and Bolivia.
30% fee applies to participants residing in Africa, other countries in Asia, Haiti, and Bolivia.

The conference registration cost includes all the conference lunches, coffee breaks, the opening reception on the 13th of July (with drinks & hors d’oeuvres), and a social dinner.

To check whether or not you need a VISA to enter Brazil, please be aware that as of April 10, 2025, citizens from Australia, Canada, and the United States must obtain an e-Visa for tourism or business visits to Brazil. Other nationals requiring visas include citizens of India, China, Cuba, Egypt, and numerous others. Visitors should verify requirements through Brazilian consular authorities and portals before travel.
