8th Brazilian School of Dynamical Systems – In memoriam Jacob Palis
The Brazilian School of Dynamical Systems is an event focused on Dynamical Systems, Ergodic Theory, and related topics (such as geometry, probability, number theory, and topology). Its aim is to bring together postgraduate students and researchers in these areas, fostering academic interaction and establishing connections between colleagues and researchers both from Brazil and abroad.
The previous editions were held in Maceió/AL (2010), São Carlos/SP (2012), Bento Gonçalves/RS (2014), Campinas/SP (2016), Belo Horizonte/MG (2019), Fortaleza/CE (online event due to the COVID19 pandemic) (2021) and Fortaleza/CE (2023).
The opening ceremony of the event will be held on November 3rd, 2025, at the Fórum de Ciência e Cultura – UFRJ, “Salão Nobre”.

Financial Support
The Organizing Committee is dedicated to finding resources to offer financial support to students and early career researchers. However, we encourage those who can to use their bench fees or project resources to do so. Candidates requesting assistance must attach a brief CV in PDF format to the application form. PhD and Master’s students should include, in addition to the brief CV, a letter of recommendation and a motivation letter. The final deadline for requesting assistance is September 15th, 2025, and selected candidates will be notified starting from September 29th, 2025.
