Candidacies for post-doctoral positions

Regular
Post-doctoral Fellowships

IMPA accepts post-doctoral candidacies continuously throughout the year. The regular post-doctoral program requires external funding from agencies such as, but not limited to, CAPES, CNPq e FAPERJ. The proposal for a fellowship should be articulated in mutual agreement with a member of our faculty (featured in our Researchers page), who will act as the supervisor of the fellowship. Before applying for funding from an external agency, the proposal must be submitted to and approved by IMPA’s Committee for Scientific Activities.

Post-doctoral Summer Program

The Post-doctoral Summer Program takes place yearly during January and February. It is destined for active mathematicians whose degree is equivalent to a Ph.D. in Mathematics.  The program aims at fostering scientific collaborations and exchanges. Applications are made online. Candidates are asked to fill out a form and indicate at least one member of IMPA’s faculty (see Researchers page) they plan to interact with. Previous contact with the member(s) of IMPA’s faculty of interest is not mandatory but advisable.
