IMPA opens two tenure-track positions
Tenure-Track Position in Industrial and Applied Mathematics
The Instituto de Matemática Pura e Aplicada (IMPA) invites applications for a tenure track position in Industrial and Applied Mathematics. Tenure will be considered during the first four years. The monthly salary will be between R$ 23.426,15 and R$ 32.083,40.
This position is intended for candidates with a strong research record in Applied Mathematics, including, but not restricted to, Computer Graphics, Data Science and Statistics, Fluid Dynamics, Mathematical Economics, Optimization and Operations Research. Applications exhibiting the potential to establish collaborations with the industry, broadly understood, are especially welcome.

list of publications;
research statement;
the names and contact emails of three reference writers that are familiar with the applicant’s work. If possible, at least one of the reference writers should come from the Industry. These reference writers will receive an email message containing information on the candidate and instructions on how to submit a recommendation letter.
The deadline for applications is November 1st, 2022. The results will be announced in December 2022. We expect the selected applicant to start his/her activities at IMPA at any time between January and September 2023.
