Press accreditation for the ICM 2018 is now open
If you wish to cover the ICM 2018 (International Congress of Mathematicians), the world’s most traditional event in Mathematics, the press accreditation is now open.
For the first time held in a country in the Southern Hemisphere, the ICM has been taking place since 1897 and will once more gather the most prominent scientists in the area from August, 1st, to August, 9th, at Riocentro Convention Center, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The Fields Medal, regarded as the “Nobel Prize for Mathematics”, is announced and awarded every four years on the occasion of the ICM. It recognizes outstanding mathematical achievement for existing work to up to four researchers no older than 40 years-old.
It will be a unique opportunity for journalists to check out the latest advancements in international mathematical research and to share the collaborative spirit of Science.
The media representatives interested in covering the ICM 2018 must register online, on theICM 2018 official website until July, 13, 2018.
