He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematical Sciences in 1966 at the University of Buenos Aires. He immediately began to take part as a researcher and advisor in the area of Statistics at the Fundación de Investigaciones Economicas Latinoamericanas, an organization sponsored by the Ford Foundation. Later, he was a scholarship holder of this Institution at the University of California, Berkeley, where he obtained a PhD degree in Statistics in 1970.
He was an Assistant Professor at this University until his transfer to IMPA, Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics, of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development. He is currently the CEO of Novaction S.A., a French company specialized in Marketing Systems. He is the author of several books and works in areas of his professional activity.
