Mikhail Solodov
About
The author graduated from the Department of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics at Moscow University in 1991.
He obtained his PhD in 1995 at the Department of Computational Sciences at the University of Wisconsin (Madison, USA) where he worked in collaboration with Olvi L. Mangasarian (holder of the John von Neumann Chair in Mathematics and Computational Sciences). Solodov has been a researcher at IMPA since 1995. He is the author of 4 books and more than 100 research articles published in international journals and books in the areas of Optimization, variational problems and complementarity. Solodov is on the editorial board of the international journals “SIAM Journal on Optimization”, “Mathematical Programming” and “Optimization Methods and Software”.
