About

At the most crucial moment of his life, having to decide between continuing an academic career or starting a career as an elementary school teacher, he made the right decision to teach mathematics for elementary school, which includes the preparation of national and international teams of elementary school students. He had the honor of helping many gold, silver and bronze medalists of the International Mathematical Olympiad in their first steps. He has been a juror several times at the Rioplatense Mathematical Olympiad, vice-leader in the Mathematical Olympiad of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries in 2015 (Cape Verde), leader of the Brazilian team at the Southern Cone Mathematical Olympiad in 2016 (Argentina) and problem coordinator at the International Mathematical Olympiad in 2017 (Brazil).
He is currently a professor of mathematics at the Federal Institute of São Paulo. At Unicamp he obtained all his training: a degree in Physics (2003) and Mathematics (2005), a master’s degree in Physics (2007) and a PhD in Science and Mathematics Teaching (2016). He is a marathon runner and has taken a DJ course, which allows him to distinguish and appreciate all styles of electronic music while running long distances.
