Antonio Leitão

Niteroi nobleman, he studied Computer Science at UFRJ, where he also earned a master’s degree in Mathematics, a passion he never abandoned. He became a Professor at UFSC, from where he would only leave for his doctorate at the Goethe Universität Frankfurt and for numerous visits to important research centers around the world.

He is the author of dozens of scientific articles and also of two books for the Brazilian Mathematics Colloquiums of IMPA. When he is not working on his inseparable laptop, he can be found exercising exhaustively or enjoying the night in pleasant places (Lapa in Rio, Lagoa in Floripa, etc.).
