During January and February, IMPA offers activities for researchers and students from other institutions alongside its regular program. Courses, short courses, and seminars are offered. This program provides financial assistance for local expenses in the form of scholarships, lasting two months.

Applications for the IMPA Summer Program must be submitted online. All applications submitted by October 31st with complete documentation will be reviewed by the Teaching Committee. The results will be sent by email. Applicants residing in Rio de Janeiro are not eligible to apply for the scholarship.

Accommodation:

IMPA does not have accommodation available. We recommend searching on rental websites such as Airbnb , Booking , and others.

Food:

IMPA has a restaurant on the ground floor of the building, and the price of lunch is approximately R$ 23.00 (twenty-three reais).

Information regarding visa registration with the Federal Police.

Foreign students must register with the Federal Police within 30 days of their arrival in Brazil, at Tom Jobim International Airport – 3rd floor – right side. This registration costs approximately R$ 350.00 (three hundred and fifty reais).
