1st National Symposium / Scientific Initiation Conference at IMPA - IMPA - Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics

Rio de Janeiro, November 8-12

The Scientific Initiation Conferences aim to bring together the best undergraduate students in Mathematics in Brazil at IMPA, providing them with access to the institute's research environment and encouraging them to pursue postgraduate studies and a career in mathematics.

The deadline for submitting papers was September 30, 2004.

The best papers will be awarded prizes and their authors invited to present them at the 25th Brazilian Mathematics Colloquium in 2005.
