The Seventh Brazilian Mathematics Colloquium took place in Poços de Caldas, Minas Gerais, from July Fridays to 2Fridays, 1969. It was coordinated by Professor Gilberto Francisco Loibel and had 312 participants.

The main activities of the Colloquium were as follows:

Fifteen lectures were given by invited experts, and several research results were presented. During the Seventh Brazilian Mathematics Colloquium, the Brazilian Mathematical Society was founded, and its first Board of Directors was appointed and sworn in.
