Instructions for Registration

  1. Deadline for requesting assistance
     The duly completed online registration form must be sent to the Secretariat of the 23rd Brazilian Mathematics Colloquium (CBM) by June 15, 2001 , as the meeting to decide on the distribution of grants/scholarships will take place on June 27, 2001.

    The registration fee must be paid only by check made out to CLAUDIO LANDIM . As registration must be done online, please print a copy of the completed registration form and send it along with the check so that we can identify the person who paid the registration fee.

    Foreigners coming from abroad can make the payment at the Colloquium reception, here at IMPA.

  3. Aid

    The organizing committee has decided to give preference, in the distribution of aid to participants from outside Rio de Janeiro, to those who have already paid their registration fees by June 15th . We clarify, however, that payment of the registration fee does not guarantee receipt of this aid, although considerable effort is being made to grant it to the largest possible number of participants. The decision regarding the granting of aid will be made by June 27th and communicated immediately to all interested parties.

    The daily allowances provided should be sufficient to cover your accommodation expenses in a 2-star hotel in Rio de Janeiro. In principle, each participant will receive up to 6 (six) daily allowances starting from July 22nd (Sunday). To expedite the process and not disrupt the start of the Colloquium's academic and scientific activities, which will begin on the morning of July 23rd ( Monday ), we strongly recommend that participants register on July 22nd (Sunday) at IMPA, starting at 2 PM.

    The payment of the grants is scheduled for the middle of the week of the Colloquium. A Banco do Brasil branch inside IMPA will be open from 9:00 to 11:30 and from 12:30 to 14:00.

NOTE: Please fill in all fields of the registration form and send it to the Secretariat of the 23rd Brazilian Colloquium of Mathematics. Don't forget to include the abbreviations for the courses and special sessions.

Registration and Enrollment

All participants, even those who have already paid the registration fee, must present themselves at the Colloquium Secretariat to confirm their registration and pick up the updated program. To make it easier, the Secretariat will be open on Sunday, July 22nd, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, in the IMPA entrance hall. Those who have not yet paid the registration fee may also do so on Sunday.
