1st Workshop Mathematics and Industry
Mathematical applications and solutions for the business environment.
IMPA , Rio de Janeiro, February 13-14, 2020
The 1st Mathematics and Industry Workshop aims to encourage dialogue between the organizing institutions – IMPA and CeMEAI – and the productive sector, particularly in the areas of energy and finance, by presenting existing mathematical tools for solving concrete industry problems.
This initiative will stimulate demand from companies for partnerships with the academic sector and promote the dissemination of ongoing collaborative projects.
Its target audience includes researchers, undergraduate and graduate students in the fields of mathematics, statistics and computer science, as well as managers and researchers from companies.
The first day focuses on Mathematical Sciences, Petroleum and Energy, and the second day focuses on Mathematical Sciences, Finance and Markets.
