The National Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics Association – IMPA, a non-profit civil association, qualified as a social organization by Decree 3.605/00, supervised by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovations – MCTI and by the Ministry of Education – MEC as intervener, hereby selects, under the terms of its Human Resources Regulations, a professional to fill the position of Administrative Analyst 1.

  1. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Carrying out all the routines of the purchasing area, including analyzing terms of reference and proposals, making quotations, price analyses, comparative maps and equalizations, to meet the demands of all sectors of the institution;
  • Preparing and controlling purchasing processes for materials and services of varying complexity and related to different areas;
  • Interacting with requesting areas and potential suppliers;
  • Search for and select qualified suppliers, ensuring their quality and suitability;
  • Managing and updating the supplier register;
  • Evaluating and checking the documentation of suppliers and their legal representatives, including articles of incorporation and various certificates, such as federal, state and municipal debt certificates;
  • Negotiating with suppliers, seeking the best price, quality, payment and delivery terms;
  • Monitoring, controlling and receiving goods;
  • Organizing the area’s document archive and registering information in spreadsheets and control systems;
  • Supporting the Coordination and carrying out other tasks related to the area.

  1. STEPS:
  • This procedure will be conducted by the Human Resources Coordination and supported by the specialized external consultancy hired by IMPA, Parceria Consultoria Empresarial Ltda., which will be responsible for carrying out the recruitment and pre-selection stages in accordance with the rules set out in this document.
  • Recruitment: at this stage there will be recruitment and a pre-selection of candidates based on an analysis of the documents sent in when registering and a general knowledge test, and only candidates who meet the minimum requirements for the position will be invited to take part in the selection stage.
  • Selection: this stage will be conducted by IMPA’s Selection Committee and will consist of the following phases:
  • Curriculum analysis;
  • Individual interview;
  • The call to the selection stage will be made by e-mail by the Human Resources Coordination.
  • Announcement of results: the list of qualified candidates will be made available on the Institute’s website in rank order according to the final grade obtained.
  • Hiring: Hiring of the selected candidate in the order in which they were ranked.

  • The deadlines set out in the above schedule may, at IMPA‘s sole discretion, be extended and the changes will be published on IMPA’s website.
  1. REGISTRATION PROCEDURE, DEADLINE AND DOCUMENTS
  • Candidates should send their CVs to vagas@impa.br, with the following subject line: “Selection – Administrative Analyst 1”, together with a signed and dated Consent Form (Appendix I).
  • Applications made after the end of the period set out in this document will not be considered.
  • If the candidate is absent from any of the stages, they will automatically be disqualified.
  1. SELECTION CRITERIA AND MINIMUM SCORE:
  • Curriculum analysis: evaluation of training and previous experience – 30 points;
  • Writing test in Portuguese: evaluation of the coherence of the text with the proposed theme, written communication skills and grammatical correctness – 30 points;
  • Interview: evaluation of verbal communication, behavior and experience – 40 points;
  • Candidates who do not obtain a minimum score of 60% (sixty percent) in each of the above stages will be automatically disqualified.
  1. DISSEMINATION OF RESULTS:
  • The final results of the selection process will be announced by publishing the list of candidates with their names on the institution’s website.
  • If no candidate is approved, IMPA may, at its sole discretion, resume the recruitment phase, changing the deadlines in the timetable, with previously unsuccessful candidates not being allowed to take part in the same process, or start a new recruitment process.
  • In the event of a tie in the ranking, the candidate with the highest score in the interviews will be given preference for employment. In the event of a tie, the highest score in the specific knowledge test(s). In the event of a tie, the highest score in the curriculum analysis.
  • The selection decision does not entitle the successful candidate(s) to employment, which is subject to the sole judgment of IMPA.
  • Once the selection stages have been completed and the results have been announced, the position will be filled by hiring the successful candidate in the order in which they were ranked.
  • The selected candidate will be summoned to proceed with the hiring procedures by e-mail from the Human Resources Coordination.
  • Candidates approved in this procedure will also be placed on a reserve list of candidates for any vacancy in the position in question, either due to subsequent disqualification or dismissal, or in the event of the creation of new similar vacancy(ies), with no need to carry out another selection procedure during the period of validity of 6 months from the end of the process. The criteria to be used to call up the reserve list will be the ranking order and communication will be by e-mail and telephone registered by the candidate, in addition to publication on the IMPA website. If the selected candidate is not interested in the position or does not respond within 7 calendar days, subsequent candidates will be called.
  • IMPA may, at its sole discretion, not use the reserve list and decide to open a new vacancy.
  1. PROCEDURES AND DOCUMENTS FOR ADMISSION:
  • The selected candidate must present the following documents in original and copy:
  1. proof of academic training and personal qualifications provided in the CV, such as diplomas or certificates;
  2. personal documents: RG, CPF, PIS, copy or number of CTPS, birth/marriage certificate or stable union, reservist certificate (male only and Brazilian up to 45 years old), voter registration, proof of residence and birth certificate of dependents, which will be used and stored in internal procedures aimed at meeting legal and regulatory obligations, as well as maintaining compliance with the Consolidation of Labor Laws (CLT);
  3. a 3×4 photo, for identification on the employee registration form and badge making;
  • Selected candidates who fail to prove their qualifications and/or provide inadequate information will be disqualified.
  • The Human Resources Coordination Office will inform the candidate of the date, time and place of the medical examination to be carried out by an occupational physician appointed by IMPA.
  • Hiring will be preceded by the successful candidate signing an acknowledgement of the requirements for the position, the respective salary and any benefits, as well as IMPA’s Code of Ethics and Conduct.
  1. PERSONAL DATA:
  • During the selection process, the personal data requested by means of this call will be used exclusively by IMPA and solely for the purpose of carrying out the intended selection and, if applicable, inclusion in the reserve register of candidates, as detailed below:
    1. Candidate’s full name: this will be used to identify the candidate and to publish the result(s) on the institution’s website;
    2. CPF: will be used to identify the candidate, especially in the event of a homonym, and to publish the result(s) on the institution’s website;
    3. Telephone: will be used to contact the candidate when necessary for the progress of the selection process.

    5. PIS and date of birth: will be used to carry out the Cadastral Qualification Consultation, the purpose of which is to check that the employee’s cadastral data in the CPF database (name, date of birth and CPF) and in the CNIS database (date of birth, CPF and NIS) are qualified to be used in the transmission of information through e-Social. If there is any inconsistency, divergence or outdated data, the applicant must update/qualify their registration.

  • The aforementioned data will be stored in the institution’s internal system, which follows security standards, in accordance with the limitation periods established in Brazilian law.
