The Evaluation Commission (CPA) is a supplementary body of the Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics and is responsible for coordinating the institution’s internal evaluation processes, systematizing and providing the information requested by INEP/MEC.

The objectives of the CPA will be:

Take responsibility for conducting the internal evaluation procedures of the Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics, for systematizing and providing the information requested by CONAES;

  1. evaluate the PDl acting autonomously in relation to the institution’s higher councils and other collegiate bodies;
  2. encourage the participation of all segments of IMPA, including representatives of teaching staff, students, administrative staff and organized civil society, without the predominance of any one segment;
  3. drawing up the mechanisms to be implemented in the evaluation process, as well as the ways in which the results obtained will be tabulated and used;
  4. Comply with and enforce the regulations governing the institutional evaluation system of the Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics;
  5. to promote a spirit of evaluation culture at IMPA.

The CPA’s mission is to conduct the entire process of measuring institutional performance in an independent manner, treating the results responsibly, in order to propose appropriate solutions to problems and participate effectively in the overall development of the institution.

The Evaluation Committee is made up of the following members:

  • Roberto Imbuzeiro de Oliveira: CPA Coordinator;
  • Milton Jara faculty representative;
  • Isabel Cherques: representative of the technical-administrative staff;
  • Maria João Resende: representative of Organized Civil Society.
